Most Spiking Incidents go unreported

Comprehensive statistics on drink spiking incidents in Germany are not available, as they mostly go reported under drug abuse, which is ridiculous.

A UK Study found that 90% of drink spiking incidents go unreported suggesting that official statistics may significantly underestimate the true problem we are dealing with.

Given the lack of comprehensive data, it's challenging to make a case against a change in the legal and medical system to protect women and other affected by this issue!

  • Raise Awareness
  • Advocate for stricter rules
  • Improve testing & Support in Healthcare facilities

Organisations like WEISSER RING e.V. offer assistance of crime in Germany. They provide support and guidance on the steps to take following such incidents

This is all Our Story

When I speak to my friends, I can't believe that at least every second woman had an experience, where they thought they had been drugged or know someone that this has happened to. While this does not only happen to women but also men and queers, it's horrific to hear that just so many have had an experience with it, but the goverment is still not activiely doing something to protect us!

We want to make sure that there are more options for these incidents to get reported, while also asking for compassion from the medical institutions to not question us when reporting.

Reading the news lately has really sparked my anger and the need to speak up and do something!

Here just some examples on how big this issue is becoming:

  • The PELICOT Case, where a husband systematically drugged his wife, rendering her unconscious to sexually assault her but also facilitating the rape by at least 83 other men, while documenting this through photos and videos
  • In December 2024, a German Investigation uncovered several Telegram groups with up to 70,000 members, where individuals shared explicit content and discussed methods of committing sexual assaults, including the use of drugs to incapacitate victims.
  • In December 2011, several visitors to a Berlin Christmas markets were hospitalised after consuming spiked schnapps by an unidentified man
  • In February 2022, an incident in Weiden, Bavaria resulted in one death and eight hospitalisations after a group consumed champagne laced with Ecstasy

Stand with victims, speak up for change, and create a culture of compassion and prevention.
